About Me

Hello!
I’m happy to meet you here. It is very nice of you to take the time to read
my “about me” page and for that I would like to say, “Thank You”. I hope I
do not disappoint you here. My name is Michael and as Joe Walsh sang, “I’m
just an ordinary average guy”.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
At
the present time, summer of 2008, I am a middle age man who has finally
found something in his life that he truly loves and that would be writing
poems… (and forgive me for adding) good poems! I
only say this because if I am not happy with one of my poems I do not
consider it finished and you will never find it published here or anywhere
else.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
I’ve
worked normal jobs since three weeks after graduating high school. I never
minded working hard but never found myself doing anything I truly loved.
Now I have. I find that I am truly at peace when I am at my keyboard
struggling to find an appropriate rhyme to say what I what it to say, in a
manner that I want to say it, and then hammering away at the keys in ex-citement
when I finally come up with one.

|
I
went to college in my late 30s and earned a bachelors degree with honors in
less than three years while working full time. The classes I least looked
for-ward to taking turned out to be the most enjoyable and were great learning experiences.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
I
enjoy sports such as baseball, hockey, tennis, football and soccer. I
always try to find time to take a long walk through the neighborhood where
I live or along the bike path that runs through a nearby forest preserve. I
also enjoy cooking because I find it relaxing. In order to be successful
and not ruin what you are cooking, you have to concentrate only on what you
are cooking and not worry about anything else. To me… that’s relaxing.

Lastly,
I’m sorry if this is going to sound like a shameless attempt to get you to
buy my book, if you haven’t already, but you will find a true indication of
more “about me” when you read my poems.
